Director of Financial Systems EquipmentShare is searching for a
Director of Financial Systems for our corporate office in Columbia,
Mo., to support our Business Analytics team as the department
continues to grow. This new team member may be based anywhere in
the United States and offers a remote/hybrid work option, but must
be able to meet with management in person at least quarterly.
EquipmentShare is seeking a Director of Financial Systems. As the
Director of Financial Systems, you will be at the forefront of our
financial operations, leading the strategic development,
implementation, and management of our financial systems. This
includes ERP, general ledger, accounts payable, billing, and
purchasing software. The role demands a deep understanding of SOX
compliance, ITGC, ICFR, and the controls and systems required for a
public company. This position calls for a leader with technical
acuity, financial knowledge, and a vision to prepare us for a
successful transition into the public market. Primary
Responsibilities for a Director of Financial Systems
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and management of the
company's financial systems.
- Develop strategies and plans for the financial systems
department that align with the company's goal of going public.
- Ensure the design and operation of ITGCs support the company's
SOX compliance and ICFR.
- Act as the liaison between finance, IT, and other relevant
departments to ensure financial systems meet the needs of users and
comply with financial controls.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of financial systems to
ensure they remain effective and efficient, while taking into
account the growth and expansion of the company.
- Ensure all financial systems are compliant with relevant
regulations.
- Develop and manage a team responsible for system
administration, user training, support, and ITGC.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and
improve operational efficiencies.
- Work with external auditors to ensure the integrity of the

Director of Financial SystemsMinimum Qualifications: -
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a
related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing financial
systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of ITGC and SOX compliance is
essential.
- Experience with a variety of ERP and financial systems, both
proprietary and third-party.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong technical skills, including understanding of system
architecture, data management, and system integration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate
complex technical issues into understandable terms for
non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability
to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent -
- CPA, CISA, or CISSP certification
- Experience in overseeing or participating in SOX audits -
- Experience with public companies or preparing companies to go
public, including understanding of controls and systems required
