Ripple Effect is seeking a Budget Analyst to support to the Office of Research Facilities (ORF) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).------We are looking for an individual with great attention-to-detail and communications skills to provide strategic financial analysis and budget.

Position Overview

    Job Description

    The Budget Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis, tracking, and reporting on the Office of Innovation and Information Technology (OIIT) asset management system. The Budget Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, and improving upon the full process lifecycle and will help develop and review policies and governance related to asset management. We are seeking an organized individual who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player. An ideal candidate will demonstrate great interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. The individual must be comfortable learning new software and knows how to harness technology to accomplish project goals.

    What You'll Do:
    • Provide strategic financial analysis, tracking, and reporting of ORF's asset management system, summarizing key takeaways and providing evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
    • Create dashboards and develop monitoring metrics.
    • Help develop and review equipment policies and larger governance issues.
    • Act as liaison to NIH's Office of Innovation and Information Technology OIIT for asset management. Develop good relationships and provide excellent customer service.
    • Leverage technology to create charts, tables, graphs, SharePoint lists, Power BI dashboards, etc. for effective data management and communication.
    • Provide high-level, comprehensive analysis of ORF's financial reporting, as needed
    • Identify and drive process improvement. Create SOPs to standardize and document processes.
    • Organize, attend, and contribute to ORF property meetings. Track status of action items, monitor deadlines, and follow-up, as appropriate. Create and develop presentations for briefings/meetings.
    • Perform other related duties, as needed.

      Requirements

      Education
      • Bachelors' and 4 years' experience with financial tracking and budget analysis

        Basic Requirements
        • Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented
        • Intermediate Excel skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, and PowerPoint
        • Proficient in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019, and/or SharePoint Online
        • Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
        • Ability to work independently and know when to seek assistance
