Job Summary Provides direction on coordinating and maintaining various proactive analysis processes and systems. Delivers monthly financial processes to support the financial health and business strategy of the company. Directs and manages financial analysis processes and procedures, finance systems best practices, and identification and prioritization of actions recommended. Primary Area of Focus: Acts as the strategic partner with the Value Chain senior leadership team through the coordination and leadership of proactive analysis, modeling, forecasting, project reviews, and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. What you will be responsible for

  • Leads and owns strategic financial and capital planning process initiatives around various margin improvement and cost control opportunities
  • Leads and manages annual planning and budget cycles, monthly reforecast processes, and monthly operational accounting close and review processes
  • Plans and directs analysis of financial data, provides assessment of existing and proposed financial plans and policies, and proposes changes to ensure the organization achieves financial targets
  • Defines the financial evaluation, forecasting, and modelling of potential investment opportunities, impacts of financial transactions, and corporate development activities
  • Ensures consistent and meaningful Value Chain budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis while also providing strong forward-looking insights and ideas
  • Manages maintenance and development of analysis systems, metric-driven reporting models, and data
  • Coordinates with Corporate Finance in process improvement initiatives and data management and consistency improvements
  • Supports Corporate FP&A executive management reporting and material preparation and presentations for the Value Chain Presidents and their staffs, the Board of Directors, and other external audiences
  • Supports Value Chain financial due diligence efforts for potential asset acquisitions, organic growth, and consolidation efforts
  • Leads and oversees the optimization of the financial systems utilized in the department
  • Oversees the analysis of internal financial information including profit-and-loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.
  • Responds to ad-hoc requests and inquiries from management as required
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of 15 years related experience; oil and gas industry experience preferred
    • Strong Anaplan, PowerBI, and other analysis and reporting tools knowledge preferred
    • Extensive modeling and management reporting knowledge preferred
    • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
    • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team SPECIAL DEMANDS
      • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
