Indian/Alaska Native children and families. Description: DIFRC is seeking a part-time receptionist who
aspires to apply their professional experience in support of DIFRCs
mission and activities. This position is responsible for providing
a broad range of administrative and clerical support to the agency,
including: receiving and directing phone calls, greeting and
directing clients, and responding to general inquiries and other
duties assigned. The Part-Time Receptionist will report directly to
the Office Manager. Responsibilities: 1. Answer multi-line phones and direct callers to appropriate
staff; take messages or transfer callers to staff voice mailbox
when unavailable. 2. Greet visitors, and assist walk-in inquires by directing to
appropriate staff or program activity. 3. Manage and check the agency general voicemail daily. 4. Manage general email account, responding to simple inquiries
and forwarding others to appropriate staff. 5. Assist in setting up conference room for meetings, trainings
or guests. 6. General clerical duties to include, but not limited to:
copying, faxing, sorting, and filing. Sort, log and process
incoming mail including signing for packages. Assist staff with
outgoing mailings, maintain the receptionist area and lobby. 7. Prepare business correspondence, typically using Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and Google
Apps. 8. Become proficient of the use of office equipment throughout
the agency. 9. Maintain a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all
times. 10. The receptionist has no direct supervisory responsibility
over other staff members. 11. Must adhere to agency policies and procedures. 12. Must have a positive attitude and be dependable. Required/Preferred Qualifications: 1. Minimum of three years previous office experience. 2. Must be able to pass a mandatory pre-employment criminal
background check. 3. High school diploma or GED. 4. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal,
organizational skills, and interpersonal skills. 5. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 6. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Other Qualifications: 1. Knowledge of Native American culture and experience working
within Native communities is highly desirable. 2. Strong organizational skills. 3. Respect for confidentiality and discretion (familiarity with
HIPPA regulations). 4. Ability to work effectively with agency staff. 5. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and manage time
well. 6. Strong customer service skills. The successful candidate will be an individual who is reliable,
detail oriented, has a strong customer service orientation, takes
responsibility for high quality work and is able to balance
attention to detail in a culturally-based service agency. To
successfully fulfill this positions responsibilities, the
individual must remain calm in a busy organization; have a sense of
humor, a pleasant disposition, the ability to prioritize tasks and
