SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY We have an opening for an experienced Software Test Engineer in
the Lodo Denver office who will be responsible for back-end,
front-end, regression, integration, load, and system testing of
highly complex Web-based systems using both exploratory testing
methods and automated scripts. The position includes automation of program regression tests;
analysis of customer requirements and software design
specifications in the form of use case diagrams and scenarios;
development and execution of test plans (test cases, test
scenarios, regression tests and automated test scripts) in
accordance with the requirements and software design
specifications; recording and tracking software defects; evaluation
of actual test results against expected test results; and working
closely with requirements, development, and customer personnel to
deliver high quality software. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide software support for the Quality Assurance group - Maintain and enhance working automation framework - Create automated testing applications, procedures and
guidelines. - Participate in the complete software development process
(requirements, design, implementation, and test) as it pertains to
automated testing tools and applications - Create and support load and performance testing. - Install software/hardware to support the testing process - Adhere to company policies as defined - Accept and complete assignment with open, cooperative,
positive, and team oriented attitudes - Actively participate in team meetings and 1 on 1
communications - Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of applicable
products and services as they evolve QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience - Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
related field or proof of significant industry experience. An
associate’s degree in a computer-related field with strong proof of
software work will be considered. - 3+ years of automated test experience required - Software development experience a plus - Experience working in a Quality Assurance team environment - Experience in an Agile environment preferred - Financial Industry knowledge a plus REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: - Working knowledge of Java, J2EE, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, and
Tomcat - Experience creating automated UI test cases for both HTML and
flex based applications utilizing test tools such as Flex Monkey
and Selenium - Experience integrating automated UI tests into a Continuous
Integration system (such as Hudson or Jenkins) - Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3/JS/jQuery stacks - Experience with JMeter preferred - Using SQL to assess data in MySQL and SQLServer databases - Familiar with Agile development methodologies and Agile
testing concepts SKILLS/ABILITIES: - Strong written and oral communications - Excellent Troubleshooting, Listening and Problem Solving
